6 layer pcb manufacturing capabilities

Request a project review

Define capability in the context of the whole board. A fine trace, heavy copper and a small finished hole cannot be evaluated independently: their combination can change the manufacturing route.

Construction and materials

Specify six copper layers in an unambiguous order, the finished board thickness and the copper requirements on each layer. FR-4 constructions are a common starting point. High-Tg or lower-loss laminates may be appropriate when assembly conditions or signal requirements justify them. Confirm the actual material grade and available core/prepreg construction before layout release.

Geometry and interconnection

Include minimum trace/space, pad geometry, finished hole sizes and the required annular rings in the fabrication review. Through holes, blind or buried structures and via filling introduce different process considerations. Do not assume an isolated published minimum is valid for every material and copper weight.

Send your construction for a project-specific review.

Controlled impedance

Specify the target and tolerance for each net class, whether it is single-ended or differential, and the associated layer and reference plane. Trace width, copper thickness, dielectric geometry and material properties must be considered together. Agree any impedance coupon and test reporting requirements before production.

Finishes and acceptance

Compare ENIG, lead-free HASL, OSP and other finish requirements against assembly, storage and contact needs. Identify the acceptance standard and revision required by your project. Inspection records, traceability and any certification requirements must be confirmed for the order rather than inferred from a general capability page.
