6 layer pcb quality: define what acceptance means
Request a project reviewQuality planning begins before fabrication. The design data, purchase specification and inspection plan should describe the same requirements.
Specify the acceptance basis
Identify the relevant standard, revision and class required for the product, together with any customer-specific criteria. Application sectors may impose additional requirements. These need to be reviewed for the project; no certification is implied by this website.
Choose evidence that answers a question
Electrical testing checks connectivity against a defined reference. Dimensional inspection checks selected physical features. Cross-section analysis or impedance testing may address additional construction questions when specified. None substitutes for functional validation of the complete product.
Traceability and documentation
Define the records needed for your supply chain: material identification, lot information, inspection results or other agreed reports. Establish these before ordering so the process can capture the required evidence.
Include your acceptance and traceability requirements with the file package.
Control revisions
Keep a single approved manufacturing revision. Record changes and require approval when a proposed substitution affects fit, function or the acceptance basis.
