Board area and order quantity are only part of the cost. Material, copper, geometry, special processing, testing and delivery requirements all influence the manufacturing route.

Construction and complexity

A build using available laminate constructions and conventional interconnects is different from one requiring special materials or additional lamination operations. Evaluate the entire combination of requirements rather than optimizing one specification in isolation.

Panel use and quantity

Board dimensions, outlines and manufacturing rails affect panel utilization. Quantity influences how preparation and process costs are distributed. Request comparisons on equivalent technical assumptions so price differences are meaningful.

Tolerances and verification

Tighter tolerances and additional inspection can require process changes or extra evidence. Keep requirements aligned with actual functional needs; removing necessary verification solely to lower cost can increase downstream risk.

Compare the whole scope
